Sagarmatha Children Home:
Sagarmatha Bal Griha –Sagarmatha Children Home established in 2060 provides home for the abandoned homeless and orphan children of Nepal. SCH has been registered with His Majesty's Government of Nepal and is a non - profit organization with the aim to provide home, food, education and entertainment to the otherwise deprived children so that they grow up to lead a normal life and a good citizen.
Nepal is a beautiful country of mountains and rich culture but sadly its one of the poorest country in the world. Poverty is one reason, which leads to so many homeless children here. Children in Nepal are abandoned and orphaned mostly due to poverty and social issues. 90% of the population of Nepal dwells in the rural areas and the recent civil unrest confined to these areas has left many orphaned.
Due to the increase in number of children abandoned and orphaned every single day SCH plans to extend the capacity to in-house at least minimum of fifty children. Sagarmatha home started with six children and the number has increased.
SCH's is at present running two orphanages.
SCH's Central office and orphanage is at Kapan VDC, Kathmandu after a year of its setup Sagarmatha children home recently opened a branch orphanage in Bhaktapur district at Katunje- ward no. 9 on 2004//09/10 .
